Since 1998, Lauren is a licensed and practicing Message Therapist in the State of New York, the State of Florida, and certified by the National Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodyworkers, specializing in Orthopedic and Medical Techniques. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Ethics and Critical Thinking in Integrative Medicine from SUNY Empire State College. She received certification in Orthopedic, Medical, Lymphatic Drainage, Brain Tissue and the Peripheral Nervous System, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Traumatic Scar Tissue, Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular, Somatic Emotional Release, Pain Management, and Treatments for those living with cancer.
As an educator Lauren has been a key instructor since 2005 for nationally recognized author and educator Whitney Lowe. She is a lead Orthopedic Massage instructor for the Veterans Certification program at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse, New York. She has lectured at many organizations, including Upstate Sports Medicine Symposium, New York Chiropractic College, Crouse Hospital Mindfulness Seminar, Mary Lou Corcoran Physical and Aquatic Therapy, and more. She also conducts presentations for graduating physicians at Upstate Medical University, assisting in the bridging of conventional and complimentary therapies.
Acquiring her Personal Training Certification in 2007 allows Lauren to incorporate strength, stretching, and movement techniques that contribute to the benefit of massage therapy designed for each individual.
With over 100,000 clinical hours, Lauren’s training and education has given her the tools to become a dedicated practitioner. She teaches her students and clients the importance of self-care and self-awareness. Her goal is optimal health therefore in addition to the specific therapy designed for each client, collaboration with their physicians and healthcare professionals is paramount.
